Widmeyer Founder and Education Expert Comments on Communication Lessons Learned in Education Week
WASHINGTON, DC - Widmeyer founder and education expert Scott Widmeyer recently shared his thoughts on best communication practices for the broader American education community in an Education Week guest column. Widmeyer notes that much has changed over the years in terms of media, marketing and public relations, but that the education community has not kept pace and as a result, many areas currently lack sophistication and significance. He also includes best practices and lessons learned for education communications professionals, gleaned from his more than 20 years of experience in the field.
Scott Widmeyer founded Widmeyer Communications in 1987 after serving more than six years as communications director under the late world renowned education reformer Albert Shanker. Widmeyer is an independent, full service public relations firm based in Washington and New York City.
