Widmeyer Welcomes Two New Additions:
Jessica Love and Eric Rayvid

Rayvid, Love to Serve as Senior Associates in
Growing PreK - 12 Practice

WASHINGTON, DC - Widmeyer Communications recently announced the appointment of two new senior associates, Jessica Love and Eric Rayvid, who will join the firm’s growing PreK-12 practice.

“We enthusiastically welcome Jessica and Eric,” said Joe Clayton, President and CEO of the independent communications firm with offices in Manhattan and Washington, D.C. “Both bring strong, unique experiences to the firm.  Having coordinated many public outreach campaigns, Eric offers a breadth of knowledge in media strategy and outreach; and Jessica has extensive background in media and event planning for private, non profit and government sectors.  There is no doubt they will be fantastic additions to Widmeyer as we continue to grow.”

Jessica Love comes to Widmeyer from a progressive, issue-driven communications firm where she provided special event and day to day communications support for documentary films, nonprofits and companies focusing on national issues, such as the treatment of military veterans and the price of college tuition.  Love has also worked in the political arena and has served in a number of positions, including as scheduler for Teresa Heinz Kerry during Senator John Kerry’s 2004 presidential bid.

Before joining Widmeyer, Eric Rayvid was the senior director of communications for the ASPCA. He was instrumental in working with both key staff and media during the ASPCA’s challenging time of Hurricane Katrina. The work Eric and his team conducted earned them three nominations for the most prestigious public relations industry awards, the PRWeek Awards, PRSA’s Silver Anvil Awards and the Golden Apple Awards.  Prior to his work with the ASPCA, Eric was a full time volunteer for September Space, World Cares, Inc, a unique nonprofit dedicated to servicing people affected by the tragedy of September 11, 2001.
