The Lumina Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to postsecondary education in the U.S. and has a particular focus on helping low income and other underrepresented students succeed in college. With college costs continuing to rise, Lumina was concerned that debates about the issue were stalling progress in helping students. Widmeyer Research conducted a series of focus groups and in-depth interviews to learn which solutions to rising college costs had the most promise and widespread support. Research findings helped Lumina engage a variety of stakeholders in seeking college cost solutions and contributed to a thought leader summit hosted by Lumina.
