To assess the impact of its statewide emergency preparedness campaign, the Arkansas Department of Public Health and its agency of record brought in Widmeyer Research. Widmeyer conducted a telephone poll of Arkansas residents to quantify the campaign’s impact and reach. Results suggested the campaign had been successful in generating awareness of bioterrorism risks and emergency response for Arkansans. The poll also found that a majority of Arkansans want the Department to play a greater role in public preparedness – a finding that bolsters the agency’s continued efforts.
