I visited two university campuses last week to consult on proactive communication. One of the institutions is an urban Hispanic Serving Institution with an annual enrollment of nearly 50,000 students, and the other is an urban Historically Black University with approximately 10,000 students.


Trusteeship magazine, a publication of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, asked Augustana’s President, Steve Bahls to tackle the issue of excellence both in the board room and around campus. Bahls discusses the importance of keeping board-president relationships fresh in “Board Complacency and the Experienced President.”
