Widmeyer Communications Announces Three New Education Clients

Arizona Board of Regents, Connecticut College and the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation Join Widmeyer’s Impressive Client Roster

WASHINGTON, DC –Widmeyer Communications announced three new additions to its expanding and impressive roster of education clients. Widmeyer will provide strategic counsel to the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), which is leading a collaborative, statewide Lumina grant-funded effort, in partnership with community colleges, to investigate ways to expand and enhance the state’s higher education system. Widmeyer is also providing research and branding services to the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation (NIHFF) and admissions research for Connecticut College.

Widmeyer Communications is at the forefront of education transformation and has tackled communication challenges in Pre-K-20 related to education pipeline, partnership building, youth marketing, increasing visibility, promoting new policies, updating digital strategies and strengthening brands. Most recently the firm has worked with clients such as The Strategic Management of Human Capital Task Force, the National Center on Education and the Economy, Wellesley College and the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE.

“We are honored to support the Arizona Board of Regents as they think through how best to expand capacity and serve more students in their higher education system,” said Scott Widmeyer, chairman and CEO of the independent communications firm, which has offices in Washington, D.C. and New York. “And we are equally pleased to be working with Connecticut College around admissions research and the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation to encourage the spirit of innovation through invention.”

NIHFF is the premier organization in the country dedicated to honoring and fostering creativity and invention. Each year a new class of inventors is inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of their patented inventions that make human, social, and economic progress possible. Founded in 1973, NIHFF also administers other national programs, including the CampInvention® and Club Invention® programs, Invent Now® initiatives, and the Collegiate Inventors Competition®. Widmeyer conducted research to help NIHFF reinforce its brand and widen visibility. Learn more about the NIHFF at http://www.invent.org/.

ABOR seeks to provide leadership and quality higher education to Arizona’s public university system, including Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, the University of Arizona and their branch campuses. ABOR is the recipient of a Lumina Planning Grant to help it address the state’s growing higher education needs. Widmeyer will provide strategic counsel as ABOR confronts the key issues involved in both planning and implementation of an expanded higher education system.
