Push for High-Quality Computer Science Education Receives National Attention

Widmeyer clients Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) were recently highlighted in San Jose Mercury News and Los Angeles Times articles, respectively.  Both articles focused on the need to incorporate high-quality computer science education into K-12 classrooms in a way that engages the students who will fill the pipeline to future jobs in the tech field.  The LA Times article highlights a promising program in Los Angeles schools, while the San Jose Mercury Newsarticle points to a recent ACM/WGBH study showing troubling gender gaps in interest in computer science courses and careers.
