I’ve always been fascinated by words and their impact. So I wasn’t too surprised when a middle school career aptitude test pointed me toward a major called public relations. Although I didn’t fully understand the term, I was so excited to discover there was an actual career out there that uses communications to make a difference. One college degree, many positions, and several years later, I’ve developed a true passion for exploring an organization’s identity and using strategic conversation to communicate its mission. I’m thrilled to be with Widmeyer, whose vision and passions so closely parallel my own.

Biography:
Michal Miller is a senior account executive on Widmeyer’s PreK–12 education team. She joined Widmeyer after nearly three years at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design where she managed the development of all college communications, including print and online collateral, e-communications and social media. In addition to leading the college’s rebranding effort, she also coordinated its website relaunch and student recruitment campaigns.
Prior to the Corcoran, Miller worked in the marketing department at Roll Call, where she developed promotional copy for direct marketing and advertising, and pitched the newspaper’s talent and products through daily media outreach. Internships with Fleishman-Hillard and the Washington DC Jewish Community Center gave her the opportunity to experience a broad range of clients and culture.
Miller graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and concentrations in Art History and Sociology. During her senior year, she was recognized as a third-place finalist in PRSSA’s national case study competition where she designed and implemented a public relations program for Habitat for Humanity.
