Jaymie DeGaetano / Account Executive

I’m an account executive on the Health & Wellness team. When it comes to PR, I am fascinated by mass media’s role in our society and enjoy conducting media outreach on behalf of our clients. Outside of the office I enjoy music, travel, film and the great outdoors (even if that means Central Park).

Biography:

Jaymie DeGaetano serves as an account executive in Widmeyer’s Health and Wellness practice. DeGaetano began his career at Widmeyer as a Fellow.  Through in-depth research, media monitoring, media outreach and communication strategy, he supports a wide array of clients including The Brain Injury Research Institute, John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, Nestlé, and Pfizer Inc.  DeGaetano’s media relations expertise has garnered placements in key publications across the nation. 

Prior to joining Widmeyer, DeGaetano was a communications intern at the Valerie James Showroom in New York and the College at Brockport’s Department of Marketing Communications. He is a graduate of The State University of New York College at Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and French. During his studies, DeGaetano studied abroad at the world renowned La Sorbonne in Paris, France.
