I believe all communications starts with understanding what makes an audience think and act. A strong overall strategy is at the core of any type of outreach and no platform showcases that more than digital. I love helping clients find that unique way to target and spread their message. I apply this same passion and strategy in all areas of my life, whether it be the challenge of a tougher hike or taking on a volunteer role outside my comfort zone. I am passionate about friends and family, my home state, Texas, or just spending a lazy afternoon grilling in my back yard. Thankfully I have been blessed with much to be passionate about.

Biography

Jerri Ann’s extensive background in digital outreach has made her influential in the communications world. She has managed grassroots, digital and advertising campaigns for a number of companies, coalitions and candidates, including work in the agricultural, energy and telecomm industry.

Jerri Ann spent two years as Digital Director at JDA Frontline where she oversaw all digital advertising, outreach and research. Prior to that, Jerri Ann worked at Ed Gillespie Strategies where she oversaw corporate and non-profit client projects. She also spent several years at the Hawthorn Group managing the grassroots efforts of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. Tasked with converting a 200,000 member grassroots army to a virtual online task force, Jerri Ann built interactive tools and moved the entire grassroots force online.

Before moving to Washington D.C.to work in public affairs and political outreach, Jerri Ann worked in the advertising industry directing international campaigns. The work produced under her leadership went on to win several international and agricultural advertising awards.

Jerri Ann graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in Animal Science. She is an avid hiker and proud to serve on a number of boards related to the State of Texas and women’s issues.

Research Director, Washington DC

Finn Partners, a growing global communications firm, intends to grow its research practice, and is presently recruiting for a top senior position—Research Director-- in addition to potential hires of a Senior Analyst and Associate Analyst. Finn, and its subsidiary, Widmeyer Communications, currently handle a wide range of research for colleges and universities, foundations, corporate/consumer clients and government agencies. The ideal candidate for the senior position should have experience managing employees, and leading business development efforts. This is a terrific position for an experienced researcher, combining rigorous analytical skills with entrepreneurial opportunities.

Responsibilities for Research Director position include:

• Representing Research internally and externally

• Project and team management

• Identifying new business opportunities

• Developing research plans and proposals

• Designing research instruments

• Moderating focus groups and interviews

• Providing data analysis

• Writing reports and strategic recommendations

• Presenting findings to clients

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in public opinion research

• Master’s degree (or higher) in social science or related discipline preferred

• Excellent writing, verbal and analytical skills

• Demonstrated experience in developing communications strategies

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Communications agency experience a plus

• Ability to travel

The senior analyst position would be someone with 5-plus years experience in polling/market research and would have experience moderating focus groups, presenting data, and be in a client facing role. The associate analyst position would be someone with 1-3 years experience in polling and market research and would support the leadership team in research as well as handle vendor and admin tasks.
