What Should PR Pros Do When It Comes to Fake News?

We all have witnessed the proliferation of fake news in recent months and certainly as it impacted the 2016 election cycle. This is a huge concern around the work we do in supporting accuracy in the media, and around the communications and marketing we do tied to our clients, their issues, their products and their long-term viability. So, Marty Machowsky and I teamed up this week and penned the below piece on “What Should PR Pros Do When It Comes to Fake News?”
And, we are pleased to report that Morning Consult decided to publish our op-ed. Morning Consult is a year-old online news portal that covers breaking news, trends, research and opinion in a number of verticals—health, energy, Washington, brands, tech and finance. Their subscriber audience is several hundred thousand. Brands is their newest portal with 20,000 subscribers since announcing in November!
