Widmeyer Communications Welcomes Veteran Public Affairs Expert Patrick Brady
Brady Joins Firm's Growing Health Care Practice
WASHINGTON, DC - The health care practice at Widmeyer Communications recently announced the appointment of Patrick Brady who will serve as vice president, working with the firm's growing health care and public affairs client roster.

"Patrick has a strong background as a public affairs strategist for a number of high profile organizations in the government and private sector. Patrick Brady brings to Widmeyer Communications more than twelve years of integrated public affairs experience including seven years in health care issues. His most recent experience includes three years at Spectrum Science Communications as a Director of the firm's public affairs practice. He has developed and implemented public affairs campaigns in 41 states and Washington, DC, on issues such as Medicare Modernization, the importation of drugs from foreign sources, evidence-based medicine, drug formularies, and medical technology.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Patrick served as Executive Director of Citizens For Long Term Care, a coalition of 63 national and local health care providers, advocates, insurers, workers and professionals. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing and implementing the coalition's grassroots, government affairs and communications efforts.
Patrick also worked at Ketchum Public Relations where he managed coalition building and media outreach on behalf of one of Washington's leading trade associations. Patrick's background includes working for the Bob Dole For President team at the 1996 Republican National Convention and for Davis, Manafort and Freedman, a public affairs firm.
Patrick will work out of Widmeyer's Washington, DC office. He has a Master's degree in American Politics and Congressional Studies from The Catholic University of America and a B.A. from Fairfield University.
