Lumina Foundation for Education
Lumina Foundation is focused on expanding access to postsecondary education in the United States. The Foundation is extremely concerned with the escalating cost of college and partnered with Widmeyer to help shape a campaign to inform and engage a variety of audiences in seeking solutions to the cost of college issue. Lumina identified six audiences that they believe must work together to solve the cost of college issue; colleges and universities, the 50 state governments, the federal government, students and families, secondary schools and the private sector. These six organizations don’t regularly work in collaboration so Widmeyer was tasked with helping engage them to develop collaborative solutions to the issue.
We worked with Lumina to recruit partners for the multi-year campaign and we helped develop an agenda for the first annual Summit on College Costs.
