Internships
Widmeyer Communications’ internship program is designed to give students insight and hands-on experience in the working world of public affairs and public relations.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drafting press releases/materials
- Updating/building media lists
- Pitching traditional and new media
- Event Planning
- Conducting research
- Maintaining clip reports
- Performing some administrative duties
Qualifications:
Sophomore, junior or senior college/university students studying Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science or Marketing. Ideal candidate has excellent written and oral communication skills, a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Hours:
The firm’s regular office hours are 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Duration:
8 weeks minimum.
Internship Information:
Unpaid. Transportation subsidy is offered to interns on a monthly basis.
